TAK is a specialized tool created to enhance situational awareness for military and first responder personnel. Draper was part of the initial development team for ATAK on Android devices, collaborating with the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory to design the software and establish its core functionalities. Our contributions extended to WinTak for Windows and the creation of WebTAK, a browser-based capability.

Additional Information

Enhanced Decision Support for Tactical Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Operations (EDS TACO) utilizes the Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK) platform, CBRN Plug-in and augmented reality (AR) technology to create an immersive training experience. This integrated system enables seamless communication and spatial awareness between AR and Android TAK interfaces without GPS – allowing for indoor tracking and monitoring. Instructors can create simulated scenarios by placing virtual reality sources and/or place live sources across a real environment for trainees to interact with, providing them with real-time sensor readings as they move throughout the space. Trainees view through the HoloLens II while instructors can track multiple trainees’ movements from a single ATAK interface.

Kill Chain Optimization

Enhancing kill chain efficiency is imperative for modern military operations, as it streamlines the process to identify, target, and neutralize threats with precision and effectiveness.

By developing advanced capabilities across the kill chain, Draper can significantly reduce decision-making timelines and enhance operational tempo.
